TV actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers from the show Tudors has been rumored to be selected for the cast of the new Star Wars movie. Details are still being kept under wraps.

JJ has said that the film is in very early stages, as he focuses on promoting his Star Trek sequel, Star Trek Into Darkness.

“I definitely feel that the opportunities are enormous, and as a fan of Star Wars since I was about 11, I feel incredibly honoured to be a part of that franchise and that world,” he has said.

“It’s very early on so we’re just getting started but it really is an exciting thing to get to be in that universe.”
