During the PGA-sponsored “Produced By” conference at the 20th Century Fox lot J.J. Abrams recently confirmed that the new Star Wars saga will go into production at the beginning of 2014. Asked about whether the new movies would be based off of the expanded universe, he declined to comment but I am sure as soon as the film comes closer to shooting, we’ll hear more about what to expect out of the new movies. He shared a few words with the press saying:
“I think that the thing is so big and so massive to so many people that the key to moving forward is honoring but not revering what went before.” Production will take place in the U.K. which Abrams also said his production team will move there later this year, putting all effort into Star Wars.
“Most likely we are going to be moving to London at the end of the year for the ‘Star Wars’ movie, according to deadline.” Abrams continued to state that he preferred to shoot “Episode VII” closer to home in LA., but Disney had planned to move to filming to UK before he had even signed on with them.
