So not much was really revealed at this last Comic Con but of course, rumors are popping up about the cast as Disney’s Expo comes up this next month. Rumor has it that the big reveal will be happening on August 10th about the cast. Most are speculating that it is just going to be a confirmation of just the original cast coming back to the big screen. But there have been a lot of hints that the entire cast will be revealed at the Expo. So rumor has it that the script is finished and the cast has been gathered.

According to Latino Review Zac Efron and Ryan Gosling are both rumored to be on Disney’s watch list for a role in Star Wars Episode VII. The rumor is, that Ryan Gosling will be playing Luke’s kid. There is no information on which character Zac Effron is rumored to play ( possibly Leia and Han’s kid?). The site stated that Effron and Gosling “went in” for these roles. The Latino Review also mentioned that Leonardo Di Caprio “took a meeting about the film but passed to pursue ‘Robo Tech’. So what do you guys think about these casting choices?

UPDATE: The rumor with Ryan Gosling has been denied by his representatives. A recent statement from the actor shows that he will be taking a break from acting for a while.

“I’ve been doing it too much,” he told The Associated Press in March. “I’ve lost perspective on what I’m doing. I think it’s good for me to take a break and reassess why I’m doing it and how I’m doing it. And I think this is probably a good way to learn about that. I need a break from myself as much as I imagine the audience does.”
