Over the weekend of Comic Con 2013 down at the San Diego Convention Center not much was revealed about the Star Wars movies, but we did get a little information on what to expect with the franchise as a whole. It was announced that they were planning on bringing a special Phineas and Ferb Star Wars adventure. It was announced that the two brothers of the show were going to be residents on the planet of Tatooine during the events A New Hope.
Recently, a little more on the plot was revealed. What roles are the duo going to play in this remake of the Episode IV adventure?
“All of the plot of A New Hope happens exactly the way it did, but we find out that Phineas and Ferb are Luke’s neighbors on Tatooine and become embroiled in the adventure,” Jeff Marsh said. “Our story all takes place as if you had a slightly wider shot, you could see our characters. Or if you just waited around five minutes after this [Star Wars] storyline, our characters would pass through, which was really really fun to do.”
“The Star Wars actors are now all 40 years older, so they don’t sound quite the same, so we’re trying to find people who sound like they did when they were young,” Povenmire said. “The guy we had come in to do Harrison Ford sounded so much like young Harrison Ford. It was like, if you didn’t look up you thought, ‘We have Harrison Ford in the booth!’”
So currently Disney is working on making this crossover by finding new talent that will help us relive this adventure, while giving it a new twist of characters. Disney is also working on making a Marvel crossover with Phineas and Ferb. The Star Wars crossover is due to hit the Disney Channel sometime in 2014 while you can catch the Marvel crossover this Friday.
