Rumors are fluctuating throughout the net as fans are desperate for any news about the sequels. JJ Abrams and the Lucasfilm team are keeping things pretty tight and one claim was that Benedict Cumberbatch was going to be playing a villain in Episode VII. Today, a rep for Benedict Cumberbatch told NY Daily News that he is not part of the cast.

“There is no truth to the rumour Benedict has been cast in Star Wars,” a spokesperson for the 37-year-old actor told the News. “I think the rumours are circling because JJ and Benedict have just recently had a wonderful time working together on Star Trek .”

Hopefully we’ll have some real news from Disney about the new films, but for right now, tons of awesome stuff is in the works for the new animated show and the games that are going to be hitting the consoles. Star Wars Episode VII is expected to his theatres in 2015.
