Before you get your hopes up, these are not official but they are claimed to be leaks from the set by Indie Revolver. Whether they are real or not, they look pretty legit and I am excited to see more concept art for the upgrades that the Imperials are going to make in order to fight off the stronger rebellion and rise of the Jedi. The images of the stormtroopers look very similar to what Ralph McQuarrie designed back during the original films. We already know that they are using a lot of concepts based off of the Tatooine merch scene, the new X-Wing, and also what they are using in Star Wars: Rebels, so it would only make sense that they would be using armor concepts.
So not only have the armor concepts been “leaked” we also have another claim of what the villain will look like and it looks awesome, so if it is the villain I won’t be disappointed. The picture shows a tall thin cloaked man with red glowing eyes holding the mask of our favorite Sith Lord.
The idea is that this is an inquisitor as the rumors that have been spreading around is that there is no other sith lords that are surfacing. That they are hunting Luke and that he is in hiding. I personally would like something a little different than the Inquisitors, since they are being introduced in Star Wars: Rebels.
“He’s tall and thin and terrifyingly creepy, with glowing red eyes to match his red lightsaber. He’s got some robotic upgrades, like Vader – but no mask. The cybernetic bits weave in and out of him. He’s got a human upper lip, a steel jaw,” the site says, and the concept art appears to show the character with the shattered remains of Darth Vader’s helmet.
