With The Force Awakens just around the corner it is no surprise that production is beginning on the next installment for the franchise. News is starting to trickle in about Episode VIII and who the actors are going to be in it. Benicio Del Toro, who we all know and love as the Collector from the Marvel movies, is confident that he will be playing the lead villain in Rian Johnson’s Episode VIII. In an interview with ET, he said,
“I can’t tell you much about it but I think that it might happen. It looks like it’s gonna happen so I’m very excited. I can’t talk too much about it. The script is hard to get. They told me they’d cut my finger if I talk about it. I saw the original [Star Wars] when it came out and it marked me. I was impressed by the film and by the characters and by the story and the message.
Not soon after the news was released, rumors are our there that Disney is also looking at having Joaquin Phoenix for the role. So what happens to Kylo Ren? Too soon to be hearing about villains and new actors playing the roles for Episode VIII? The excitement is real as we get closer to the release of The Force Awakens!
