JJ Abrams Spills Info On Kylo Ren: Empire Magazine

So who is Kylo Ren? We have already found out that he comes from a group called the Knights of Ren. While little is revealed on who he is, one thing is for certain, stop reading now if you do not want to know. As many fans have already guessed, Kylo Ren is not a sith, which you can find in the new Empire magazine due this Thursday. JJ confirms this idea

Kylo Ren is not a Sith,” confirms JJ Abrams in the new issue of Empire. “He works under Supreme Leader Snoke, who is a powerful figure on the Dark Side of the Force.”

So does that make Kylo Ren like the inquisitors from the popular animated series Star Wars: Rebels? A lot of rumors toward the start of productions suggested the Inquisitors would make an appearance. So if that’s the case, who are the 2 Sith that we’ll see. Supreme Leader Snoke is also not a Sith, who is played by MoCap actor Andy Serkis. So who where are the Sith? Are they around or only just Dark Side users?

That also raises questions to what the state of the Galaxy. Does Supreme Leader Snoke run The First Order or are they their own faction? Abrams also reveals a bit of history of The First Order.

“That all came out of conversations about what would have happened if the Nazis all went to Argentina but then started working together again?’” Abrams reveals. “What could be born of that? Could The First Order exist as a group that actually admired The Empire? Could the work of The Empire be seen as unfulfilled? And could Vader be a martyr? Could there be a need to see through what didn’t get done?”

I always thought that The First Order was just a remnant faction from the disbanded Empire but this means they could be something different. So are there still remnants from the Empire or did they join with a the First Order? What are your thoughts? Tell us below! All will be revealed on December 18th!
