As we all know the Episode VIII release date was pushed back to December 2017…
In regards to that news, Episode VIII has officially begun Principal Photography! Disney CEO Bob Iger stated that the success of Star Wars: The Force Awakens has influenced this next installment in the franchise immensely, and that they wish to continue to make quality products.
In a recent interview, Bob Iger said:
“There is no better way to propel this franchise into the future than creating quality products. Filming of episode VIII, the next episode in the legendary saga, has just has just commenced and will release in theaters December 2017.”
Bob Iger also confirmed that Star Wars: Episode IX has begun production as well! (Directed by Colin Trevorrow)
