Knights of the Old Republic Reboot!

Sorry for the lack of updates guys but we are back in full force and bringing you the news that gets fans excited for the future of Star Wars. Celebration is just a few days away and we will be posting more exciting news and photos, be sure to check our Instagram page live images and how you can experience the event through our eyes. So, what has us excited is that since Disney took over the franchise, a lot of our favorite stories from the Legends has been tossed aside and not considered canon, including KotOR. But, possible rumors and leaks are suggesting that we will be getting a reboot of the series which will fall under canon territory.

Fans have been working on their own remake using unreal engine to boost the graphics and surroundings as well as adding new content, but it still has yet to surface so for those that are anxiously awaiting tha. Hopefully that will hit the internet soon to satisfy that craving of Old Republic battles.

It may be true that Bioware is exclusively working on Star Wars games indefinitely, yet no confirmation has been released. But, it has slipped during a podcast with Star Wars Game Outpost that Bioware is working on a revival of a fan favorite being KotOR.

games journalist Liam Robertson stated that BioWare Austin is working on a “remake/revival” of the popular Star Wars franchise, Knights of the Old Republic (emphasis by author):

“I’ve learned now that [BioWare Austin is] pretty much now exclusively working on Star Wars games and they’re going to be doing that for the indefinite future.

“What they’re currently working on right now—and I have this on good authority—is a sort of remake/revival of Knights of the Old Republic. I don’t know when this is set to come out, but it has been in development for a little while now. I don’t really know how that game’ll end up. I’ve heard that it isn’t exactly a remake anymore, but it started as a remake/revival. Now it’s kind of going from that blueprint in sort of its own original thing. I guess we’ll see what that turns out to be, but they are prototyping it right now.”

So hopefully we’ll get some new content and more stories that explore this era of time in galactic history. What are your thoughts? Let us know on our social media!
