Star Wars: Episode VII Filming Has Begun, Casting Almost Complete

Over the past few days rumors have been going around that Star Wars: Episode VII Filming has already begun. Then in a recent interview Alan Horn, chairman of Walt Disney Studios, told an Interviewer that filming is underway. “We’re actually shooting some of it right now,” he told the interviewer. It seems he could have been referring to preliminary shoots which are often done by the second unit, or for background shots to help out the effects team. Star Wars to Start Filming in May

So not much news has been rolling about on the new movie but today Starwars.com has announced that filming will start in May this year. Also confirmed is the time frame the movies will take place, 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi. It has also been confirmed that Star Wars: Episode VII is set about 30 years after the events of Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi, and will star a trio of new young leads along with some very familiar faces. Final Episodes of The Clone Wars Hits Netflix In March

Since the end of The Clone Wars we’ve been promised that we would be getting the final episodes to air sometime in 2014. So the idea of a spin off film has been driving fans crazy, especially the idea of a Boba Fett movie.
