Recently reports have come out saying that the late Rap super star Tupac Shakur allegedly planned to audition for a role in Star Wars: Episode one. The young star who was shot dead in 1996 (he was 25), was going in for a role as a jedi according to Metro.co.uk. This apparent “Jedi” role Tupac was going for was later picked up by Samuel L. Jackson as the character Mace Windu.

In an interview with 2Pac-forum.com, Death Row Records’ ex-chief engineer, Rick Clifford, spoke out saying: ‘It’s sad because ‘Pac found out that I worked for Brian Austin Green, who was on 90210, then he found out I was in some movies.

‘So we always talked about his film career and stuff.’ He continued:

‘He was telling me that he was supposed to read for George Lucas and them. They wanted him to be a Jedi. Yes, I’m serious — Samuel L got Tupac’s part.

‘Yeah, he called me “Old Man”. He said “Old Man, keep your fingers crossed, I got three movies coming up. One of them I gotta read for George Lucas”.’

Shadur had several movies in his young film career before being gunned down including “Poetic Justice”, “Above the Rim” and “Gang Related.”

How do you guys feel about Tupac Shakur almost being included in the Star Wars universe? Would he have done a good job?
