Since The Force Awakens hit theatres, a lot of speculation has hit the internet as to the identity of Supreme Leader Snoke. Little has been revealed about his character other than the fact that he existed during the events of the original trilogy. This has sparked the theory that he was the master of Darth Sidious, Darth Plagueis himself. With the featured image, you can see that people have been trying to find similarities in the looks between the old canon look of Plagueis with what they may have changed.
Well, we now have confirmation as to the identity of Snoke, well, more in the lines of who he is not. Pablo Hidalgo, who is part of the Lucasfilm Story Group. Many people have been asking him as to whether this theory is true, and enough fans have asked him that he has finally given us a confirmation, many may be disappointed by his response.
“His apprentice killed him,” Hidalgo said of Plagueis. When pressed, he said, further, “Sidious killed Plagueis. Ascending to master. As is the way of the Sith.” and “I said Sidious killed Plagueis. He killed him. Killed. As in “to kill”. Like, there was killing.”
“He is dead. There you go. Three words,” Hidalgo said, clearly exasperated.
